Pop King Michael Jackson has suddenly and sadly died today aged 50. The 'Thriller' star was rushed to hospital after being found in his home not breathing. Paramedics had attempted to revive him after his cardiac arrest but to no avail, he was then allegedly taken to UCLA Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead. His family are said to be rushing to the hospital to say their goodbyes with reports of sister LaToya already being at the hospital. Entertainment website TMZ were first to break the shock news.

The news has sent shockwaves around the world with social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter have been inundated with comments from fans around the world.

Jackson's career has spanned many years when he began with family members as part of the Jackson 5. His career has been shrouded in controversy after unfounded allegations of child abuse along with his bizarre behaviour which has been much publicised. Needless to say, his career has been a huge success resulting in many top 10 hits and dubbed the title 'King of Pop'. He was due to start a series of concerts at London's O2 arena
